Jeff Hamilton
A drummer’s drummer, Jeff Hamilton is a legend among jazz fans. His career includes stints with the Oscar Peterson, Monty Alexander, and Gene Harris Trios; the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra; and Diana Krall.
A great friend of the Nashville Jazz Workshop, Jeff has appeared many times in the Jazz Cave with his own trio and with the Akiko-Hamilton-Dechter Trio. That group appears in the Jazz Cave for the second time on September 17!
Besides concert appearances with his trio, Jeff has taught a Master Class on The Art of Brushwork at NJW. Last year’s Jazzmania includes a tour de force solo performance of “A Night in Tunisia,” which you can view below!
